Power supply to a thermostat relay

Hi i'm.working on my campervan and am trying to put a thermostat relay into the power supply to the fridge as it keeps freezing everything and draws power when its not needed.  I'm running 12v from a battery through a solar controller which cuts the feed to the fridge when the battery voltage drops too low.  The thermostat i'm looking at has a temp display and is programable so needs a constant feed.  I only have one feed wire to the fridge so both the feed and the pass through of the relay needs to come from that unless i run a 2nd wire as a permanent feed to the relay.  Is there a way of putting in somthing to keep the relay powered when the feed is cut from the main battery/solar charger to just keep the relay alive but not pass power to the fridge.
