  • express pcb ExpressPCB circuit board layout program is a snap to learn and use.
Laying out PCBs is easy, even for the first time user.
    Here are the steps:

First download Express PCB using the link below (external source)

    • Select the Components in ExpressPCB
Begin your layout by adding the components. Select the parts from the Component Manager dialog box. Many components (such as connectors) include Digi-key part numbers to make ordering easy.
    • Position the Components
Drag each component to the desired location on your board. The Snap to grid feature makes it easy to neatly align the parts.
    • Add the Traces
Now add each trace by clicking on the pin of a component and dragging the trace to another pin. If you link your schematic file to the PCB, then the ExpressPCB program highlights the pins that should be wired together in blue.
    • Edit the Layout in Express PCB
Making changes is simple using standard commands such as Copy, Cut and Paste. Rearrange the parts by dragging them with the mouse. Traces always stay connected to their pins, even when you move things around. You can set the properties of items in your layout by double-clicking on them. For example, double-click on a trace to change its layer or width.

Go to expresspcb.com and navigate to their download page –that is how I did it. After their free software is installed, you may open *.pcb files.

Nice layout software, but DOES NOT printout the complete PCB to a printer, only the pads and NOT the connecting traces!

      • Definitely not suitable for DIY circuit boards.

Wasted effort. Does not print full cct board does not align to any particular grid when adding pads. Its only half a program must be better available.
Really no Viddeo tuts required – as the program is useless. !
But as they say in the upper reaches of Nevergoland – There is no such thing as a free lunch :)you get what youse paid for nuttink
