Top 10 Electronic Circuits January 2011

It has been some long time since we have published the top 10 of electronic circuits so I have sorted the data out of the Analytics. There are some changes, as usual, in the positions, some articles got more views than others but overall there is the same pattern. People are enjoying the electronics articles and visit almost everyday. Thank you for this.

January 2011 Top Electronic Projects and Circuits

  1. Smoke detector
This home smoke detector circuit warns the user against fire accidents. It relies on the smoke that is produced in the event of a fire and passes between a bulb and an LDR, the amount of light falling on the LDR decreases.
  2. Solar chargers
Some great solar charger circuits, monitors, inverters for hobby.
    Battery Chargers using Solar Cells
    Solar charger
    Solar Charger Monitor
  3. Dog repellent
The electronic dog repellent circuit diagram below is a high output ultrasonic transmitter which is primarily intended to act as a dog and cat repeller, which can be used individuals to act as a deterrent against some animals.
  4. Electronic muscle stimulator
This is an electronic muscle stimulator circuit that stimulates nerves of that part of your body where electrodes are attached. Can be used for diy electro stimulation. It is useful to relieve headache and muscle pain and revive frozen muscles that impair movement. It’s mainly electronic muscle stimulation aid is removing cellulitis and build up you muscles.
  5. Voice activated switch
With this sound activated switch, control by sound may be very useful, not just on a robot but also for a bit of home automation, for example a sound-activated light responding to a knock on the door or a hand clap. The light will be automatically switched off after a few seconds.
  6. Sound operated light
This diy sound activated lights circuit turns a lamp ON for a short duration when the dog barks (or a relatively strong sound) giving an impression that the occupants have been alerted.
  7. FM antenna booster
This is a low cost fm antenna booster that can be used to listen to programmes from distant FM stations clearly. The antenna fm booster circuit comprises a common-emitter tuned RF preamplifier wired around VHF/UHF transistor 2SC2570 (C2570).
  8. Metal detector
DIY metal detector circuits that are very easy and cheap to make.
  9. Audio mixer
This audio mixer circuit uses an LM3900 IC but is not a profesional audio dj mixer. The IC houses four integrated Norton amplifiers. The advantage of using the four op amps is that they only need a single power supply. Since this amplifier circuit is current controlled, the DC bias is dependent on the feedback coupling.
  10. svideo to rca
The S Video to RCA cable is sometime hard to find and the adapter is almost every time too short. I’ve searched at my local store and haven’t found any.

That’s all folks!
