Top 10 Electronic Circuits April 2010

It’s time for the Top 10 Electronic Circuits for April 2010.
We are glad that you like the electronic articles posted on the’s website and will do the best to bring you the best electronics related informations, circuits, projects and designs. Let’s start the show!

April 2010 Top 10 Electronic Circuits

  1. 12V to 220V Converter
This 12V to 220V voltage converter is build with CMOS 4047 that is the main component of this small voltage converter that transforms a 12V DC into 220V AC.
  2. Solar charger
Here is a circuit to charge Lead Acid or Ni-Cd batteries using solar energy. The circuit harvests solar energy to charge a 6 volt 4.5 Ah rechargeable battery for various applications. The charger has Voltage and Current regulation and Over voltage cut off facilities.
  3. Fast charger with auto cutoff
This circuit has Auto cut off facility also. This High current charger can be used for the Fast charging of sealed lead acid batteries used in Automobiles, Inverters etc. This charger can give 5 Ampere current for quick rejuvenation of the battery.
  4. LED flasher
This is an AC powered LED flasher that can drive two High bright LEDs directly from the power obtained from the AC lines. The high bright LED flasher can be used as a Mock flasher or as an ornamental LED.
  5. Police car lights
This circuit is used to simulate the police car lights by alternating flashing strobes seen on British police cars. The IC1a forms a square wave oscillator having adjustable frequency with VR1 to give the best effect.
  6. Transformerless power supply
Actually, we have 2 electronic circuits:
30V/1A Transformerless power supply – is designed for medium current applications.
Low current transformerless power supply – for low current applications.
  7. Small FM radio
Perhaps this is one of the simplest and smallest FM Receiver that can receive the FM stations available locally. Its simple design makes it ideal for a pocket sized FM receiver. The output of the receiver drives a head phone.
  8. Smoke detector
This home smoke detector circuit warns the user against fire accidents. It relies on the smoke that is produced in the event of a fire and passes between a bulb and an LDR, the amount of light falling on the LDR decreases. This type of circuit is called optical smoke detector.
  9. LC meter
This LC meter circuit can measure coils and capacitors. When Lx or Cx is connected in the circuit the oscillator frequency will decrease and this decrease is measured by a frequency-voltage converter.
  10. Fast charger
Here is a High current charger for Fast charging sealed lead acid batteries used in Automobiles, Inverters etc. This charger can give 5 Ampere current for quick rejuvenation of the battery. It uses an Adjustable voltage regulator so that 6 volt and 12 volt batteries can be charged.
